The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) notified, on Monday, March 23rd, the Ministry of Agriculture of Brazil the carrying out of an audit of the system of inspection in beef and pork plants. The audit is programmed for next June 10th to 28th.
According to the Minister of Agriculture of Brazil, Ms Tereza Cristina, it's an important step to be able to export, in the near future, fresh meat to the USA again.
The US inspection service wants to verify if the Brazilian products still fulfil the health requirements.
