Solutions looking forward
Vietnam will need to continue simultaneously implementing various solutions including importing breeding animals, live pigs, and pork in combination with promoting re-stocking of pig herds, and increasing biosecurity.
Deputy Minister, Phung Duc Tien, pointed out another important task will be encouraging and supporting businesses in stepping up processing to stimulate consumption and export. He mentioned that currently, the processing ratio of Vietnam is very low. He also pointed out that a focus on investing in science and technology in animal husbandry will be critical.
