Vietnam: Livestock production in the first 9 months of 2022

At the end of October 2022, the total number of pigs in Vietnam was estimated to have increased by 13.6% compared to the same period last year. The total number of poultry increased by 5.2% and cows by 3.3%.

Production of slaughter pigs in the first three quarters of the year was estimated at 3.23 million tons, 5.8% higher than the same period last year. Beef and poultry production in the first 9 months of the year reached 348.0 thousand tons and 1.47 million tons, 4.2% and 4.8% higher respectively than in the same period of 2021.
