The Vietnamese Navetco Company, in collaboration with researchers from the United States Agricultural Research Institute (ARS), has developed a vaccine against African swine fever (ASF), known as NAVET-ASFVAC, which is the world's first commercial vaccine against ASF.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam submitted a report of the scientific research results and the application for registering the DTLCP NAVET-ASFVAC vaccine for trade to different stakeholders for evaluation.
Last May, the Agricultural Research Institute of the U.S. Department of Agriculture also sent an official letter to the Vietnam Department of Animal Health confirming that the NAVET-ASFVAC vaccine is safe and effective.
