According to the General Department of Customs, in the first quarter of this year, Vietnam's export of animal feed and raw materials reached US$272.55 million, up strongly by 35.5% over the same period last year.
China is still the largest market for Vietnam's animal feed and raw materials, reaching over 125.18 million USD, a sharp increase of 140.8% compared to the first quarter of 2021 and accounting for 45.9% of Vietnam's exports of this commodity group. Exports to Cambodia follow, making up 11.7% of the share in the export market, reaching nearly 31.88 million USD, down 5.3%.
The US is currently the third-largest market for Vietnam's animal feed and raw materials exports. In the first quarter of 2022, the export of animal feed and raw materials to the US reached 31.22 million USD, a sharp 31.9% increase compared to the first quarter of 2021.
