Vietnam's frozen meat imports in the first 10 months of this year increased four folds compared to the same period in 2012, according to government sources.
In Ho Chi Minh alone, the city's animal health authority inspected about 2,000 tonnes of imported meat every week in the period, in which poultry accounted for 50%. Cattle offal registered a record increase of 431% year-on-year; swine offal came next at 72%, poultry at more than 10%.
