Cross-section of the nasal cavity of a fattening pig in which we see a clear nasal septum deviation with an almost complete disappearance of the nasal turbinates. It is a clear case of progressive atrophic rhinitis, that is a multifactorial process whose etiology includes pathogens (toxigenic Pasteurella multocida and Bordetella bronchiseptica) associated with environmental and management factors.
