Fibrinous enteritis - Atlas of swine pathology

Where: digestive system, intestines
Possible causes: Salmonellosis
The presence of a yellow, proteinaceous material in the intestinal lumen is indicative of a fibrinous exudate. In the small intestine, the observation of fibrin in the lumen or adhered to the mucosa is strongly suggestive of Salmonella typhimurium infection.
