The lesion, spotted in the slaughterhouse, is located is the neck muscles, in the coppa area.
Areas of necrosis and bleeding can be seen, limited by slight oedema, sometimes with reddish-yellowish to greenish pigmentation.
Location and type of lesion suggest a relationship with intramuscular injections in the neck.
