Ulcerative pododermatitis is a bacterial infection and inflammatory reaction on the feet caused by bacteria, namely strains of Staphylococcus, Pseudomonas, Fusarium and Escherichia coli. The infection can usually be attributed to poor husbandry practices such as poor flooring condition. In this unit the floor was very dirty, wet and muddy with sharp edges.
