Liver

It is the main factory in the body of the animal, and it is devoted to the manufacture of new raw materials from the nutrients that it receives (for instance, the own proteins of the animal), and it also degrades the old ones, that must be discarded. It is also like a kind of filter in the body of the animal: it recognizes those elements that can be toxic for the body and it processes them so they are not toxic anymore. These substances can remain withheld in the liver foor a varying amount of time and be eliminated later on through the urinary system.
