Parasite
It is an animal or vegetable organism or a microorganism that lives on another living being (ticks, for instance) or inside a living being (intestinal worms, for example), and they obtain food at their expense. Pigs are not affected by many parasites. The most important ones are coccidia (they are very small, microscopic), mites (they cause mange, a skin disease) and various kinds of small worms (most of them are intestinal). One of the most famous parasites in the pig is the one that causes a disease (trichinellosis) that is serious for the humans that consume the meat of an infected pig.
