Replacement gilts

They are the female pigs that are waiting to be mated for the first time in order to enter the reproductive herd. They are considered as replacement gilts since the moment in which they enter the farm (if they are bought to an external supplier) or since the moment in which they are selected in order to be future dams (if we produce them ourselves).
