Vaccine
It is a preparation made up of different particles that are present in the microorganisms that cause diseases (antigens), so, when they are administered, the immune system is activated to generate antibodies against them. In this way, when the ‘real’ microorganisms contact the animal, it will already be protected and it will be much more resistant to the disease.
Vaccines may be live attenuated, inactivated, toxoid or Subunit/conjugate.
