Last week 333 attended Space 2024, the international livestock trade fair held in Rennes from September 17 to 19. This 38th edition was particularly successful, with over 101,000 visitors (12% more than in 2023) from 120 countries, including more than 12,500 international visitors. The event brought together 1,210 exhibitors, including 370 international companies.

This must-attend event for professionals is renowned for its ability to bring together a wide range of national and international exhibitors and visitors, offering a unique platform to discover the latest innovations and trends in animal production.

One of the highlights of the exhibition was the Innov'Space competition, which showcases the most outstanding innovations in the various livestock sectors. This year, 48 innovations were selected by a panel of experts for their contribution to sustainability, health, and workload reduction, among others. The Innov'Space label is a benchmark for innovation in livestock farming, offering unique visibility to the winning companies.

The conference program was also enriching, with more than 100 lectures covering topics ranging from climate challenges to technological innovations in agriculture and animal husbandry. The “Space for the Future” under the slogan “Generation Livestock: Let's invent the future” provided an opportunity to discuss the transfer and future of livestock farming, with a special focus on the challenges young livestock farmers face.

In addition, the "Young Space" encouraged the next generation to get involved in the agricultural world with initiatives such as the Tech'Agri Challenge, in which students presented innovative solutions to improve agricultural practices. This commitment to young professionals demonstrates SPACE's commitment to preparing the future of agriculture and livestock farming in France and around the world.

The active participation of so many companies and organizations from different countries once again demonstrated the importance of this event in developing professional relationships and promoting innovative solutions. This type of event plays a crucial role in the evolution of the swine industry and in highlighting the technologies and strategies that will shape its future.
