Brazil has created a work team for eradicating CSF in the northen and northeastern regions.

Gifu and Aichi prefectures established a general assembly meeting and announced plans for the oral vaccination spraying to wild boar.

A dead wild boar confirmed positive to CSF was found within the 10km radius from the affected farm.

Vaccination shall be administered ahead of time in all the municipalities of Arauca, Atlántico, Bolívar, Cesar, Córdoba, La Guajira, Magdalena, Nariño, Norte de Santander, Putumayo and Sucre, and in some municipalities of Antioquia, Casanare, Cauca and Boyacá.

At this year’s General Session, the World Assembly of OIE Delegates distributed 11 certificates to 10 countries for official disease status recognition.

This international status will encourage the negotiations with third countries for the export of pigs and their products.
