According to OIE and PigUA, Ukranian veterinary authorities have confirmed an outbreak of African Swine Fever near Voinivka village.

The research is focused on one of the pig genes associated with African Swine Fever Virus infection called RELA. The gene causes the immune system to overreact with devastating effects.

The outbreak was detected in a village with a total of 1.003 susceptible pigs, 130 of which were diagnosed.
