Rosselkhoznadzor informs about the imposition of temporary restrictions on the import of porcine products from the Lugansk Oblast, Ukraine, from January 17, 2014.

Temporary restrictions lifted from pigs and porcine products from a number of pig farms and meat-processing plants of the Brestskaya Oblast in the Republic of Belarus.

A total of 10 pigs have been slaughtered and destroyed. In the protection area (3 km) there are 44 farms, whilst in the surveillance area (10 km) there are 269 farms.

Ukrainian veterinary authorities have informed the OIE about an outbreak of African swine fever in a wild boar in forester-hunting ground "Pischane", Stanychno-Luganskyi (Lugansk).

The outbreak is located in Parakou (Parakou), at the same location than in 2005.
