Ukraine - Agriculture efficiency to rise significantly by 2015

Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk said the projects provide for dynamic development of cattle, swine breeding and crop production. There is an ambitious task to increase grain output by 2015 up to 80 million tons a year, to increase the growing of seeds of oil-bearing crops up to 15 million tons and increase meat production to 4 million tons per year, he said.

Elanco, the animal health division of Eli Lilly and Company, today announced that Lilly has made an irrevocable, unconditional offer to acquire the animal health business of Janssen Pharmaceutica NV, a Johnson & Johnson Company.
