During the first semester of 2010 the Belgian pork meat exportations have reached a volume of 372.250 tons, 3,3% more than in the same period last year.

Pig producers and abattoirs are saving time and money with the new BPEX electronic pig movement project, known in short as eAML2. Officials from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) informed the representatives of the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Supply (MAPA) of the approval of the entrance of fresh pork produced in Santa Catarina into the country, beginning November 30, 2010.
