Ireland: Asia drives Irish pork exports

Strong demand in north east Asia has delivered a surge in Irish pork exports to the core markets of China, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea to date in 2011. For the first five months of the year, exports in value and volume terms to these four markets almost trebled to €16.9m or 10,700 tonnes.
