The latest data published by the Spanish National Statistics Institute regarding the agricultural census carried out in 2009 shows that the number of farms decreased by 23,2% between the years 1999 and 2009.

The latest data published by the Spanish Minister of Agriculture’s statistics service indicate that throughout the month of April the number of animals slaughtered decreased by 6.7% compared to the same month last year.
